Daddy's little punkin

There is something very special about a father's love for his little girl. I have always held a special place in my heart for it because of the relationship I had with my father but it has a whole new meaning for me now that I have a little girl who can share the same thing with hers.

It is so clear and evident in simply the way he looks at her and the way his face lights up when she smiles at him. I have never seen that look on his face before she was born but I have seen it every day since. He calls her his "punkin" and I am certain that he will spend the rest of her life making sure she is safe and has every single thing she needs and wants.
I absolutely love taking pictures of them together. Here are some from last weekend when we took our little punkin to the pumpkin patch and a few more of my favorites of them together.

Such a Kenedie face

These were taken almost 3 months ago

That's the look: Oh, I can't take it, too sweet!

She was just learning to walk here

Brooke

Brooke is a senior. She loves theatre. Has an awesome Mom and a younger brother. Wants to go to college in Germany. Wishes her adorable new puppy would stop chewing everything. And was a pleasure to meet and take photos of!

I had the oppurtunity to hang out with Brooke and her Mom Karen for a few hours today in an effort to capture some senior pictures for them. She looked gorgeous and has the best natural expressions, a combination that made my job very easy : )

Here are a "few" of my favorites:
(you will notice I tend to use the word few rather loosely)

See what I mean? Looove the expression!

What an amazing tree

Too too cute. shoes

I couldn't decide if I like b/w or color better. both gorgeous

Wow

We just had to get Mom in a few

Pretty things everywhere

I have only been to Charleston once to visit a friend in college, so needless to say it has been a while! Brian has been more than once but the last time he was in his teen years. We have never been together until this past weekend. I certainly did not remember it being this beautiful. Not to mention paradise for a person with a new camera and a passion for photography!

We spent ALL day walking and looking and snapping photos. I couldn't ask for more than a day full of hubby time and pretty things literally EVERYWHERE!

Yay, yay, yay lens flare! As you might be able to tell by my excitement I am a big fan of lens flare and this is the very first time I got it! The next two pics:

This was the first time I have taken "night" pictures with my camera. I was nervous because most of what I am learning is natural light photography. Of course at night that is basically impossible, so I was nervous about how my flash pics would turn out. But I got some really neat shots, in fact a few of my favorites from the day!

This one is actually in our hotel room. The Inn was so nice and the room so beautiful, I wish I had more pics of it!
