Baby Joy

If you are a parent you know the joy that a baby brings into your life!

Especially if you are experiencing it for the first time.

It is like nothing else in the world and once you've felt it

there is no way you can live without it.

Ed and Jessica welcomed their first baby boy Maddox

in December of last year.

From the very moment we started last Sunday

it was clear that he brings them so much joy,

so much so you can see it written all over their faces.

I love these pictures and how I can feel their joy

for Maddox through them!

The best

Katey lives next door and anyone who has ever had bad next door neighbors

knows how important having good ones can be. Brian and I are extremely lucky

when it come to this: we seriously have THE BEST next door neighbors.

Katey is graduating in a few weeks and ever since I got into photography

I was hoping I would get to take her Senior photos. I had the chance

to get together with Katey, her Mom Erin and younger sister Grace

last Sunday morning to do just that!

I had a blast the entire time, including the car ride there

when I definitely heard a "ridonkulous" and a few "what evs", oh to

be a teenager again : ) When we got to the location the air was completely full

of fog! I think we were able to get a ton of great pictures both

in the fog and after it lifted. And Katey, who (like me) said she doesn't

really like to get her picture taken, was even having fun by the end!

I love weddings

and I love love photographing them.

I love the people, the nerves and the laughter.

The colors, the details and the emotions.

And I love love the pictures all these things create!

I had the opportunity to second shoot for a close friend of mine

and fellow photographer Cara Justus at a beautiful wedding a little over a month ago,

and have been very anxious to post some my favorite details I captured that day!
